Might as well start the blog off with a bang. Canada’s Supreme Court has effectively said that it’s okay for a woman to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband.
Nicole Doucet is a woman who twice tried to hire a hit man to kill her ex-husband. It seems that dead he was worth over $1 million to her.
The 2nd hit man she tried to hire turned out to be an undercover Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP or “the Mounties”) officer. He and his team recorded the “contract” discussion on video tape. Doucet admitted to never having been abused, and that she wouldn’t mind if her ex-husband’s girlfriend got wacked too.
The Crown Attorney thought it had such an open and shut case that it didn’t even bother calling Doucet’s ex-husband as a witness. All Doucet had to do was allege that she was “afraid” of her ex-husband, and every court in the land immediately proclaimed her to be not guilty.
Not only did Doucet get off free as a bird, the Supreme Court also took a cheap shot at the RCMP and the Crown Attorney.
The message is clear: if you want to have your ex-husband killed, move to Canada. It’s a truly just society.
Just ask our Chief Justice.
