PRESS RELEASE
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
NIGHTMARE FOR LIBERALS, BOOK HAS READERS RAVING
New Author Exposes Government’s Hidden CAS Agenda in The Mirror
[Ottawa, ON – 25 May 2014] – When Michael McConaughey—not his real name—contacted a Children’s Aid Society (CAS) in 2008 about his estranged wife’s abuse of their children, he thought they would be protected. Instead, Society workers helped his wife alienate them, got him court-ordered from his own home by a feminist judge, and had a de facto no-access order placed against him, all without trial. What he discovered led to what he maintains was a government cover up. In his new book The Mirror, Book One: Welcome to the Evil Sisterhood, McConaughey exposes everything.
McConaughey was astonished to learn that feminists had rigged the mandatory Child Protection Standards in Ontario so that a mother not automatically “winning” child custody and child support payments now perversely constitutes child abuse, especially if she is a child abuser. His analysis reveals that this systemic practice is irrefutably criminal, which is why he believes it had to be covered up. McConaughey also noticed the same essential narcissistic personality traits in the feminist social workers, lawyers, and judge that an expert psychiatrist identified in McConaughey’s former wife of 19 years. In the midst of an election campaign, this is the nightmare scandal that may come back to haunt Ontario’s Liberals.
“I spent the past weekend with your book. It is excellent: your patient and blow-by-blow recounting of the hell you endured makes for a very gripping reading experience.”
– Professor Janice Fiamengo, University of Ottawa
The Mirror, Book One: Welcome to the Evil Sisterhood is available to order from FriesenPress.com/bookstore, Amazon and most major book retailers. The ebook edition is available for download through Amazon’s Kindle, iTunes Bookstore, Google Play, and Chapters and Indigo’s Kobo.
ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Michael M. McConaughey is a soon-to-retire, 3rd generation Royal Canadian Air Force navigator with over three decades of service. He is a Member of the Order of Military Merit and a father of three.

Nice and powerful. Good going Nav 🙂
Thank you, KG. It’s pure coincidence that my book’s launch was delayed until the middle of an election campaign. However, I’m not going to flinch when it comes to telling an inconvenient truth at a most inconvenient time.
A bit like LoR–there are some journeys that you must complete.
Oooh, Professor Fiamengo has read it? That’s pretty awesome right there!
Yes, she has, Tarnished. She’s a fantastic lady–very intelligent, courageous in speaking out against feminism, and caring about the men and children (and women) who are its victims.
How wonderful that she, a Professor of English, would read the manuscript and give me such an endorsement. It was a confidence-booster. It also helped that she was familiar with both ideological feminism AND the work of the late social critic Christopher Lasch, which includes the book “The Culture of Narcissism.”
Most important was her support for my thesis of gender narcissism as the explanation for the otherwise unfathomable behaviour of ideological feminists. I think that more than a few academics are going to be very interested in this.
With any luck, her endorsement will help this reach a lot more readers. I’ve listened to one of her lectures…she’s great, and seems to have such a caring personality.
Congrats on all this, Nav. You deserve it!
She is great, T. Absolutely no arguments from me on this.
Appreciate the kind wishes and support.
Cool press release Nav – very focussed and hard-hitting.
Thanks, Paul. Writing these things is a bit of an art, and thankfully I had my FriesenPress marketing guru provide some good feedback, on top of their print marketing manual.
Basically, you have about 4 seconds to merit a look from a newspaper editor; the title had better be catchy. Then you have three paragraphs in which the release either sells the story (or book) or it doesn’t. The first paragraph especially had better make it obvious that the newspaper’s readers will love an article on the story.
I used Professor Fiamengo’s quote as my 3rd paragraph, so I had the first two in which to provide enough information upon which to base a decision as to whether or not to pursue the article.
I’m emailing the release directly to newspaper editors and politicians, starting today.
Wow! I’m quite impressed, Nav. Damn the torpedoes – full speed ahead, eh? Praying this hits warp speed, my friend. Any entries into US domain, or just Canada for now?
Thank you, Susan. I intend to work Ontario and national newspapers first, because of the ongoing Ontario election campaign, and then other Canadian newspapers.
However, there will definitely be an effort to get the attention of entities in the U.S. My understanding is that talk radio is very popular in the U.S., so I might try assigning priority to these programs.
With the wired world, however, it may be a matter or sticking with it until some outlet decides to pick the story up. It might spread from there on its own, with a little luck.
Great press release, Navigator. I wish you much success. There’s probably some smaller, independent news outlets on line that might be interested, too. Blog radio is popular these days, also, but I don’t know much about it.
Thank you, ib22. I don’t know much about blog radio, either. I’ll have to add it to my list of things to get smart about.
The small indie online news outlets might be a good avenue, too.
Great press release. I’m so glad your story is finally out!
So am I, Winifred. It’s a big relief. Now comes the hard part – the marketing. Not a trivial amount of work, by any stretch.
Nice 😀 Reblog?
Yes, please, Belinda. Reblog away.
Cool.
Reblogged this on Idiot Writing.
This is excellent Nav, hits where it needs to and gets the message out there! So glad to read this today as I also wanted to let you know that I’ve tagged you in a Meet My Main Character Blog Tour, details here: http://sherrimatthewsblog.com/2014/05/26/meet-my-main-character-blog-tour/
You will find, as I did, that not all the questions are relevant since your book is non-fiction, but I wanted to have you on board anyway and link to you.
Will be in touch… 🙂
Thumbs up Nav!
It’s official – I finished the book and forgot to sort the papers for my exam!
Oh, no! I hope this didn’t harm your performance on the exam.
Thanks, Maggs.
I have no idea 😉 I’ll blame it on the sunburn instead 😉
I hear the sun is vicious in the vastness of the Great Norwegian Desert.
🙂 Love it!
Thank you, Madam Jenna. No bites as of yet, but fishing is a game of patience. Two newspaper writers have requested copies as a result of direct inquiries, so there could be some slow progress.
We’ll see what happens. ❤
This is wonderful!! I know you are proud about what is being said!! congratulations. 🙂
Thank you, LG53. One reply email heading your way, one old-fashioned mail parcel to follow shortly.
Niiiice, Nav. Making waves already.
Thank you, Madam Wayfarer. I’ve also brought the book’s topic to the attention of the Ontario Provincial Police’s Anti-Rackets Branch last Friday and am waiting to hear back. They have a corruption section that deals with political and government issues.
Probably won’t amount to anything, but I keep trying. Some day, I’ll find a way to get a high enough signal-to-noise ratio to climb above the crowd.
Keep on truckin’.
Very powerful and this can draw much needed attention and action…very well done!
Thanks, Randall. The marketing is a never-ending struggle, as I am discovering.
I suppose it would be a bit embarrassing if I wrote a book, but couldn’t write a half-decent press release. Please let me know if you’re ever interested in having a complimentary read of the e-book, BTW.
